Popular for exterior stripping projects
This is a brass bristled hand brush that can be used in place of the steel wool when paint stripping.
Popular project uses are
- Exterior projects such as weather board, front doors and outside windows.
- Cedar garage doors.
- Stripping old floors which are no longer as smooth as they once were.
- Boats
Brass bristled hand brushes can be better than steel wool on rougher timber surfaces. They reach deeper into the grain where steel wool may tend to snag. On outside applications they won’t leave any steel wool filaments behind to rust in the future.
How many do you need?
If using with the Coopers Restoration Stripping System you will need at least two hand brushes, one for the red stripping phase and one for the blue flushing phase. Allow at least one pair of brushes per 5 litre system.
Exterior Moisturised Surfaces
On exterior projects that are going to be finished with Cooper’s Moisturise-it Plus, it is very important in order to prevent rust spots, that you use these hand brushes or plastic pads and not the steel wool supplied in the Cooper’s Stripping Packs.
Interior Joinery
The brass hand brushes can be used everywhere but for interior joinery and furniture projects we suggest that the steel wool supplied in the Cooper’s Stripping Packs is usually a much better option for speed and better quality results.
