Choosing the right paint stripping gloves is important. You don’t want paint stripper or solvents on your skin. There are many gloves available in shops and most are not up to this task. We have found these solvent resisting gloves to be the best we have tested both for longevity and value.

Ordinary PVC gloves go brittle and crack. Surgical gloves melt and the ordinary wash-the-dishes type gloves tear with the steel wool. We’ve tested other gloves and so far these have been the most successful by far.

If you are stripping with the Cooper’s Restoration Stripping System then you will need about one pair of these paint stripping gloves per 10 litre pack.

Take a moment to choose your hand size correctly. Women with long fingers should consider size 8 as a minimum.
